The London Borough of Ealing comprises 23 wards, each represented by 3 Councillors.  The May 2010 local elections returned a surprised Labour administration to Ealing despite widespread acknowledgement that the Conservatives had had four excellent years of public service from 2006 to 2010 transforming Ealing for the better. Ealing Council under the Conservatives won ‘Best Achieving Council' 2009 in the Municipal Journal Awards, and attained a top four stars rating from the Audit Commission.
